이 곡은 1969년 발매되었던 비틀즈의 사실상 마지막 앨범이 된 Abbey Road에 수록되었던 곡으로 당시 미국의 캘리포니아 주지사 선거에서 (후에 미국 대통령이 된) 레이건과 경합을 벌이던 티모시 리어리를 응원하기 위한 존 레논의 곡이다.
LSD를 옹호하고 공개적으로 지지했던 Timothy Learys는 60년대 히피문화에서 빠질수 없는 인물이자 히피들의 영웅이고 교주였으며 이 곡의 제목인 »Come together«는 그의 선거캠페인에서 슬로건으로 쓰인 »Come together, join the party«에서 인용되었다.
얼마 전 존레논의 30주기였기도 하고 여러 이유로 개인적으로 좋아하는 곡 이기도 해서 올린다.

현재 그래픽 디자인 석사 과정을 맡고 있는 실라 르브랑 드 브렛빌(Sheila Levrant de Bretteville)과 투바이포의 공동대표인 수잔 셀러스(Susan Sellers) 교수는 예일대학 그래픽 디자인 과정의 철학과 방법론을 이렇게 설명했다.
“열린 자세, 뻔한 것들을 배격할 것, 집요하게 아이디어를 추구할 것, 복잡한 문제는 간단한 방법으로 해결할 것, 시각적 경험에서 기쁨과 즐거움을 창조해낼 것, 실험할 것, 실패를 받아들일 줄 알고 이를 통해 배울 것, 외부 요소를 작업에 끌어들일 줄 알 것, 디자인을 역동적인 시스템으로 바라볼 줄 알 것, 변화를 받아들일 것. 이것이 철학이며 방법론은 아래와 같다. 읽고, 쓰고, 바라보고, 방문하고, 그림 그리고, 공유하고, 말하고, 다시 생각하고, 다시 그려보고, 계획하고, 테스트하고, 연마하고, 투자하고, 견본을 만들고, 경험하고, 기록하고, 그러나 만약에 발생할 수 있는 최악의 상황에는 그저 해치워 버려라.”
